Internship – Test Engineer Trainee

Your future teams are developing Nokia 3GPP mainstream radio technology products and solutions including cross-technology responsibility (Multi Radio Access Technology).
Your unit’s main priorities are flawless execution of System programs including Network Management & Optimization and attached services.
Position: Test Engineer Trainee
Duration: Part-time 6h/day
Location: On-site in Timisoara, Romania
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate for a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication/Computer Science/ Physics or a related field;
Your responsibilities
- Analyzing system concepts and complex product features, propose test scenarios accordingly to ensure seamless functionality;
- Building, integrating, and maintaining test environments for real-world scenarios;
- Developing automated test suites and scripts using industry-leading tools;
- Executing manual and automated test cases on real equipment and accurately reporting results;
- Writing and verifying defect reports to enhance product quality;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including system specification experts and developers, to drive improvements;
- Taking initiative and acting independently in routine matters to ensure efficient workflows.
Your skills and experience
Must have:
- Knowledge of software quality, system integration, verification, and test documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, innovative, and results-driven
- Effective communication and reporting skills, both verbal and written
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-site environments
- Genuine interest in AI applications and emerging technology trends
Nice to have:
- Experience in test automation – an advantage
- Knowledge of cloud platforms & tools – a plus
- Fast learner with the ability to share new competencies with the team
