Internship – Web Software Engineer
Romania (Hybrid)
Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front-runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).
You will be a part of a team whose objectives are to improve the way of working, drive for continual improvement and innovation, develop and maintain product tools, and assure support for Mobile Networks and worldwide Nokia.
Duration: Part-time: 4h or 6h/day
Location: Hybrid in Timisoara, Romania
Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate for a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics;
Your responsibilities
- Actively contribute as part of a software development team in an Agile, international setting
- Actively contribute to web-based applications using JavaScript, CSS, HTML, .NET, Python, Power BI, and MySQL
- Learn and apply software development best practices with continuous support and mentoring
- Collaborate with R&D teams and quality managers on ongoing projects
- Support automation and improvement initiatives related to deployment and internal tools
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
Your skills and experience
Must have:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (1st or 2nd year) in a relevant technical field
- Strong interest and passion for software development
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and Python
- Understanding of version control systems (Git)
- Basic understanding of continuous delivery concepts
- Good English communication skills
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with .NET or MySQL
- Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with Power BI or interest in data visualization and reporting
- Exposure to tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Power Automate
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs
