Role Description
5-month internship starting from July-August 2025
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Cyber Security Operations team in a fast paced, growing organization within a dynamic and unique industry.
Based in Bucharest (Romania), you will support the Cyber Security Operations team and actively participate in projects to fulfil business needs and secure the SES IT and Operational Technology environments. Depending on your skillset and interests we can offer focus areas with a higher share of technical tasks (scripting/automation, security monitoring, security incident response, security scanning and testing), communication-oriented tasks, organizational/project management tasks.
As a Cyber Security Operations Intern, you will be responsible to:
- Support definition and implementation of security monitoring reports and alerts
- Assist in monitoring security events, detecting and handling information security incidents.
- Maintain and improve existing security monitoring and incident response procedures.
- Follow-up and tune-up false positives alerts together with the responsible system owner and team members
- Support the implementation and enhancement of SES’s Security Orchestration, Automation and Response platform to (semi-)automate response procedures
- Support other Information Security Roadmap projects, thereby having the unique opportunity to be part of many other interesting security projects
- Basic to advanced automation/scripting tasks (if interested and depending on skillset)
YOUR PROFILE
Must have
- Current & advanced bachelor’s or master’s student in ICT field
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Programming / scripting skills
- EU-citizen or work permit for Romania
Nice to have
- Additional languages are considered as an asset
